Friday, August 29, 2008 : This Sunday is the Dave Popp Memorial Regatta. This one race regatta is open to all boats. A potluck dinner will follow the regatta. The dinner usually starts around 4pm. Bring a dish to share and your own beverages.

Friday, July 18, 2008 : This past Sunday we completed the 2008 KLSC Sailing Seminar. This year's class went extremely well. The students did a great job, and the weather was beautiful ( with the exception of the Saturday morning thunder storm ). Thank you to everyone who attended and to all the club members and family who make the annual seminar possible. A special thank you goes to the Iselin family for continuing to travel to Kiser Lake year after year to help out and instruct during the school. It is very much appreciated. More information and pictures from this year's school will be on our website soon!

KLSC's Commodore's Breakfast was also Sunday morning. The breakfast continues to be our most attended annual event. This year we had an estimated 75 people in attendance including Sailing Seminar students, club members, honorary members, and extended families. Thanks again to all the members who make the breakfast possible. Pictures from the breakfast will also be on the website soon.

If there is anyone who has pictures from ANY event from this year that you would like to share, you can e-mail them to Bobby Rapson at rapson2000@sbcglobal.net. We have limited space on the website so not all pictures can be posted, but we will sort them out and put up all the best ones!

Tomorrow is our second "Sup 'N Sail" event of the year. The time and format have changed slightly for this Sup 'N Sail. The theme is "All American Picnic" and the start time has been changed to 3pm. Please contact Bob Rapson or Deb Holdren for more information.

Monday, June 2, 2008 : Yesterday was the first KLSC Fun Sunfish regatta for 2008. Only four Sunfish competed, but it was a beautiful day and the wind was strong. Bobby Rapson won the regatta with four first place finishes and one second place finish. The complete results of the regatta will be posted in the "Racing" section of our website soon. Thanks to all the club members who came to help set up and run the regatta!

Saturday, May 24, 2008 : Tomorrow is our first official racing / social event for 2008! The George Eaton Memorial Cup Regatta is a one race event open to all boats. The race will start at 2pm. Following the race will be a Pot Luck dinner for all KLSC members and guests. Bring a dish to share, bring some beverages, and come enjoy some good fellowship with the other members of KLSC.

Saturday, May 10, 2008 : We had beautiful weather for our spring work party this year. Member participation was high, and the day was very productive. All of the slip arms and lifts were put in place, the racing buoys were set for the 2008 season, and we were able to do some basic cleaning and setup of the club house and grounds. Thanks to everyone who participated! We will need to set up a another work party or two in the near future to do some dock repairs, as our Sunfish dock was badly damaged by ice over the winter.
